Cebu Uphill Tour

Living in a city can be stressful. At times we just need to escape city life, be one with nature, chill and unwind. Luckily in Cebu, you can easily get away and explore the mountain resorts, restaurants and attractions that are just along the Transcentral Highway with an hour or less.

These are the few which I have explored on a day trip.

WEST 35

A perfect venue if you’re looking for a chill place to enjoy good food (farm to table) and the mountain side. The resort is only a few meters away from the popular attractions in Balamban like Adventure Cafe, Buwakan ni Alejandra, and Florentino’s.

Afternoon chill ain’t enough? They also have available rooms for you to use for an overnight stay.

With an entrance fee of only P50 for adults and P25 for kids, guests can already enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities while staying at the mountain resort.

They also have available rooms with kitchen and dining and cottages for you to rent, while enjoying the cool breeze.

FLORENTINO’S ECO PARK

Dubbed as the Little Tagaytay of Cebu primarily because of its chill and cozy outdoor ambiance – the breathtaking view and the foggy weather.

ADVENTURE CAFE

A foodie and an adrenaline junkie? This is the place for you. Enjoy good food and adventure in one.

SIRAO FLOWER GARDENS

Yes, flowers gardens, as they have two different flower gardens located in Sirao these are “Little Amsterdam of Cebu” and “Pictorial Garden and Camping Site”

Little Amsterdam of Cebu

Pictorial Garden and Camping Site

TERRAZAS DE FLORES

Cebu have it’s on take of rice terraces, but instead of rice crops, the ones that are being planted are different species of plants and flowers. The place also has cozy cabanas and a restaurant.

TOPS LOOKOUT

A viewing deck that offers the city view. With a cavern like structure with tables and chair you can use.

TEMPLE OF LEAH

The temple has an art gallery, museum, and a library where all of the favorite things her wife owned are placed. At the top, there’s a spectacular view of the city and more exceptional scenery as you walk through the temple. In this Greek methodology-inspired mansion, you will feel that you are already in a different place, lets say the land of the gods? there are also gigantic lions or as I call it guard dogs which I have named Aurum and Argentum lying on each side of the stairs that will guide you to the door step of another jaw-dropping view. You can see a grand staircase with angels made up of brass and the Queen of the Temple in about 10-ft statue with crown and flower.

WHERE TO EAT?

Belen’s Inato at Gaas Balamban near Adventure Cafe.

HOW TO GET TO THESE PLACES?

Take a V-hire from the Ayala Center Terminal going to Balamban via Transcentral highway route. Fare is P120 per person (one-way). Inform the driver to drop you off to your preferred destination.

You may also hire a habal-habal at JY mall. But I prefer booking a habal-habal through kuya Jade Codera, as some of the habal-habal drivers are taking advantage of tourist when it comes to how much they charge.

That’s it for now, and see you on the next articles. Thanks for dropping by.
